Leaves of Time

“My sculpture ‘Leaves of Time’ has been selected as one of the site-specific installations for Wells Art Contemporary Installations. Alongside works by many other international artists, it is being exhibited within the magnificent and imposing Wells Cathedral in Somerset.

It is also the very first artwork to be placed in the Memorial Garden of Mary Mitchell, a highly influential landscape architect (1923–1988).

Situated in this serene garden—enclosed by Gothic cloisters—the sculpture forms a tangible intersection between our fleeting earthly existence and an enduring spiritual force. In this memorial garden, the ‘skin’ of laurel leaves conveys a message of inner peace, lasting remembrance, and a connection that transcends time—a connection not only to Mary Mitchell but also to all the loved ones who have gone before us.

The installations were selected by Laura Moffatt, Director of Art and Christianity, and the internationally renowned textile artist Alice Kettle.”
